     High school for me is a door to the wider world. I used to being a dumb English learner.
Therefore, I became a brave English speaker after I attended a Christmas party, that was
organized by my foreign teacher Edward. At the party, Edward encouraged me to talk Chinese
traditions during the Spring Festival and he shared with me the British custom about Christmas. It
was the first time that I have ever talked with a foreigner for so long. The party was fun, filling with
games and talks, but most significant I realized that my oral English was not so  bad. Recently, a
victory in an English speaking competition even won him the opportunity of a trip abroad.
