Each time it just shook the bottle frantically, with great __12____ but without necessarily achieving __13____ result.
Now the question is why the monkey was unable to understand what the scientist instructs. __14___ because all its attention was focused on the peanuts. To learn, it must take its eyes off the peanuts and shift its attention to the ___16___ mo9vement of the man and the ___17___ the bottle was turned upside down. To shift its attention, it had to ___18___ down and not be taken over by the impulse (誘惑) of its appetite. Yet the monkey was not able to understand this. It is instances like this __19____ reveal (提示) the monkey’s lack of ___20___.

Dear Sir,
How are you? As a exchange student, I am writing to tell you I would prefer to move into a single room in next term, as I find it inconvenient to share a room with others. My roommate often held parties at night, made much noise. Besides, his friends are always visiting him, that disturbs me a lot. So I hope to draw your attentions to this problem. If you think in my position, I am sure he will agree that the only solution for me is get a room of my own, one not in the same building and as near to the school campus as possible. I would be gratefully if you could do me the favor.
Best wishes.

第五部分 改錯(滿分10分)
Dear sir,
I graduated this year and wanted to get a work. I thought I would be success, but finally I failed. That was why I was so lazy that I didn’t want to go out. I always complained for the hot weather. And there was another reason nobody know about: I regarded myself someone who couldn’t do anything lonely. I often felt less capably than others. When I found a company that was advertising, I was even afraid to call to ask for details. I wanted to make a move, and I was always disappointed. What should I do? I’m looking forward to receive your reply.
Yours
Li Ming
