I was growing up in Kuala Lumpur in the early 1960s, children from different races and religions played and studied in harmony. At that time my family lived a stone's from Ismail's. Perhaps the student’s grade did discourage him from being honest in the future, but bribing (賄賂) him to be honest so that he does the right thing when it’s cost-free would have him even more. The duty to be honest is right and wrong, not risks and rewards.
