For a few years, I have been wearing a ring on my right hand. It’s not always the   16  ring, but it’s always a ring that has  17 on it so that when I look at it, I’m   18  or reminded of something important. I have made a  19 of buying rings like this whenever I see one in a store. Sometimes I give them away as   20 to someone like Jennie.
I first met Jennie in the   21  waiting room and we had talked several times. One night I sat down beside her and   22  how her son was doing because I knew that he was in very  23   condition. She told me that she didn’t know what to do any more because it seemed none of the   24 from the doctors was good. After the earthquake his northeast Japan on March 11, 2011, many touching stories that I saw with my own eyes happened around me.
I had to walk home since all the   31 had stopped after the quake. On my way home I   32 an old Japanese lady at the bakery shop who was giving out free bread, which made my heart  33 . A middle-aged Japanese man was holding a sign that said, “Please use our   34  .” He was   35 his house for people to go to the restroom.
My friend wanted to  36 others. He stood in the cold with a sign “If you are okay with a motorcycle, I will   37  you to your house.” And then I saw him take one gentleman home, all the way to faraway place!

No one in the United States could forget the sorrowful story, April 14th, 1865 36 Abraham Lincoln was murdered.
The night after a very busy  37 , the President and his wife went to Ford’s Theatre in Washington D.C where a new play was to be put on.
Near the theatre  38  a 25-year-old unsuccessful actor named John Wilkes Booth, who was strongly against the North though he hadn’t fought  39 the South himself. In 1971, a young man who grew up very poor was travelling across the country, trying to make a new __36__ for himself. Norman Bethune is one of China’s most famous heroes, but he wasn’t Chinese—he was Canadian. He gave his life to helping the Chinese people Norman Bethune 1   born in 1890. He became a 2   in 1916, and he went to the front to look after injured soldiers in the First World War. He saw many soldiers die in the war. Later he invented new treatments to  3  soldiers, and medical tools to use outside hospital.
In 1938 he came to treat the Chinese soldiers in the mountains north of Yan’an. There were 4  doctors, so he had to work very hard. He opened hospitals to give treatment to local people and soldiers, and to train doctors and nurses. He also wrote books so that doctors could learn about new treatments.
Dr Bethune worked very hard without stopping to 5  . Once, he preformed operations   6  69 hours without stopping, and saved 112people. He   7  working in spite of cutting his hand during an operation. In the end, he died because he did not take care of his   8 .
Dr Bethune’s work with the Chinese soldiers made 9   a hero in China. There are books and films about him, and he is 10   remembered in both Canada and China.

Two brothers worked together on a farm. One was married and had a large    41  .The other had no wife yet. Although they lived in different houses, they shared everything they got from their farm.
