Rules on how to be a fit kid
Being fit is a way of saying a person eats well, gets a lot of physical exercise, and has a healthy weight.   小題1: If you’re a kid who wants to be fit, here are three rules to live by.
1. Eat a variety of foods.
You may have a favorite food, but the best choice is to eat a variety.  小題2:  Taste new foods and old ones you haven’t tried for a while. Some foods, such as green vegetables, are more pleasing the older you get. Shoot for at least five servings of fruits and vegetables a day--two fruits and three vegetables.
2.    小題3:
What does it feel like to be full? When you’re eating, notice how your body feels and when your stomach feels comfortably full. Sometimes, people eat too much because they don’t notice when they need to stop eating.   小題4:  And over a period of time, overeating can lead to unhealthy weight gain.
3. Limit screen time.
What’s screen time? It’ s the amount of time you spend watching TV or DVDs, playing video games, and using the computer. The more time you spend on these sitting-down activities, the less time available for active stuff, like basketball, bike riding and swimming.   小題5:
These rules aren’t magic. However, follow them most of the time and you can become a fit kid sooner or later.
A.Drink water and milk.
B.Listen to your body.
C.Eating too much can make you feel uncomfortable.
D.There’re a lot of discussions these days about fit kids.
E. Try to spend no more than 2 hours a day on screen time.
F. Ask your parents to help you do your favorite activities regularly.
G. If you eat different foods, you’re more likely to get the nutrients your body needs.

閱讀下面短文并回答問題,然后將答案寫到答題卡相應(yīng)的位置上(請注意問題后的詞數(shù)要求)。
【1】The air was pleasant and the music was loud in the vast square in front of the New York State office building in Harlem(哈萊姆,美國紐約市黑人居住區(qū)) as health advocates(支持者,提倡者) set up information tables for Harlem wellness Week. It was a wide-ranging effort to educate people about non-communicable diseases: Heart disease, cancer, lung disease, obesity, and so on.
【2】There is an economic effect caused by these diseases, especially in Harlem, one of the city’s poorest districts. Without healthy employees and healthy customers, you cannot have healthy business, says Patricia Ricketts of the Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce, which sponsors Wellness Week.
【3】Dr. Jo Ivy Boufford is president of the New York Academy of Medicine, a Wellness Week partner. She says education about better nutrition is important, but that people with low incomes often lack the means to put what they know into practice. But there is hope. New York is very active in advocating good, effective public health policies. “New York City has banned smoking in public places, both indoors and outdoors. That is a fantastic example of what can be done, without having any impact on the economy. It is a city where you have bike paths. That is a good message for the world, because bikes make your transport active. That is good for your health and lowers air pollution,” she said.
【4】“It is not enough to focus on the management of disease through medication,” Dr. Boufford says. “That’s why health advocates will be trying to persuade UN officials during Wellness Week to pass resolutions that deal with road and transport design and construction and other potential causes of non-communicable diseases.”

Trust has been considered as the basis of any relationship, including friendship. No relationship can last long with a lack of trust. Not many of your friends will have real faith in you as you would like to believe.小題1: Sometimes, it takes years, even a complete lifetime, to trust someone. However, how do we know if our friends have faith in us?
小題2:With whom will you share things that you don’t want everyone to know? It would be with a close friend, whom you trust as much as you trust yourself. While a few of your friends may be fiercely protective of their privacy and may not tell their secrets to anyone, those who do, surely find you trustworthy and reliable.
Whom do you look up to for advice when you need it the most? It has to be either your parents or your friends. 小題3:This is a shining example of trust. You only seek advice from people you hold in high regard and find dependable. The friends who trust you will never forget to include you in the important decisions of their life.
Arguments and heated discussions are a part of every relationship, and this is also true for friendship. 小題4:While some people find it difficult to forgive and forget, your friends will never have problems moving on. It is because they trust you and believe that you will never cause any pain to them on purpose.
There are times in life when you find yourself a lonely soldier. 小題5:Your friends will never let you down and will strongly stand for you when you need encouragement. You can determine that they trust you and believe in your beliefs, if they side with you when you need them the most.
