     I get questions all the time,   9   "Why are you deaf?" and "What's that thing in your ear?" Even my friends don't 100% understand.Today, one of them said to me.“So what's going to happen when you go  10   deaf?” It really got to me.What will happen when I go fully deaf? Will I have a   11   life? I don't think I will.

Looking back  12   my childhood, I would say it was pretty much non-existent.It was full of hospital  13   and operations for grommets (devices that let the ear breathe)- and to make it  14   I had eye problems as well! I am the only one in my whole family who has any medical   15   .

When I was a child.I   16   to wear my hearing aids.This wasn't because they made my ears sweaty(出汗的) like the doctors thought,   17  because I was ashamed of them.Funnily enough, it was a big computer store that helped me overcome this because a woman behind the  18   had her hair cut short to  19  her hearing aids.She helped me  20  my self-confidence and now I realize it's okay that I wear them.
