Once there was a greedy(貪婪的) boy named Jack. He lived in a village. One day his mother sent him to his uncle's home.

When Jack arrived(到達(dá)), his uncle said to him, “There are some candies in the jar(瓶子)．If you like them, you can put your hand into it and take as many as you like.”

Jack looked at the jar. It had a small mouth. He put his hand into the jar and took many candies. But he could not get his hand out. He turned his hand this way and that way, still he couldn't get it out. Finally, he could only get one candy in his hand. From this lesson, Jack learned not to be greedy.
