Good communication skills are key to success in life, work and relationships. Without effective(有效的) communication, a message can turn into error, misunderstanding, or even disaster.
Communication is the process by which we exchange information between people. To communicate well is to understand and to be understood. Communication can be successful only when both the sender and the receiver understand the same information.
In today's highly informational and technological environment, it has become more important to have good communication skills. Here are some important steps to communicate effectively.
Know what you want to say and why understand clearly the purpose of your message. Know to whom you are communicating and why.
How will you say it? We all know that it's not always what you say, but how you say it , that matters. Begin by making eye contact. You show trust and confidence when you look at others in the eyes when you speak. Second, pay attention to your body language, since it can say so much more than your words. By standing with your arms easily at your side, you tell others that you are open to hearing what they have to say.
Communication is a two-way street. After you have said what you have to say, stop and listen. Practise your listening skills. Be considerate of others are talking, listen carefully and never cut them off.

Many years ago, when I was working as a volunteer at a hospital, l got to know a little girl named Lisa. The poor little girl had a very serious disease and was dying. A bookstore chain “Popular Bookmall” introduced their special style of book distribution (分銷)in Shanghai back in November. This experimental store offers books at very low prices, and there is no staff to require customers to pay before taking books away. Sounds like a book lover’s paradise!

We should listen to our conscience (良心). This has deep roots in Chinese culture. Confucius (孔夫子) taught Chinese to be conscientious and honest.
But there are also a great rational (理性的) reason for “honesty stores”: the more honest people there are in society, the more reasons we have to trust others. And if people trusted each other, they’d be more willing to share. For example, in a “sharing economy”, we do not have to think about saving or spending money all the time. We should try to help other people. In brief, society is built on trust, not only trade (商業(yè)).

Shared bikes
Shared bike services started in Western countries. But China has surprised the world with how quickly it has adopted dockless(無樁的)shared bikes.
Unlike traditional bike-sharing method, dockless bikes allow users to simply pick up or park a bike on the street through GPS and smartphone To unlock a bike, you just need to scan a QR code on a shared bike with a smartphone app After you finish riding, you can park it at available parking areas, lock it and pay for ride through mobile payment services.
Online shopping
With around 751 million internet users, China has long been the world's largest and fastest-growing online shopping market.
Online shopping now accounts for 15.5 percent of total retail sales in China, according to Xinhua. Thanks to lower costs and fewer licensing requirements(執(zhí)照要求),it' s easier for sellers to open an online shop in China than a brick-and-mortar shop(實體店)。
It also helped to create jobs of rural areas. In 2016, online shopping created more than 20 million jobs in rural areas, with over 8.1 million running their own online shops, said Xinhua.
