       Thank you to all the players. I won ’ t say much because I know all of you can ’ t  wait to hear the results一it was a very difficult decision and I will start with the music group that came in fourth. That ’ s Red Team—they are the youngest group here today. It is a pity that the violinist played so quietly that we couldn’t  hear him. So bad luck to Red Team. Third is Yellow Team.They are such good dancers they should enter for a dance competition. And with a bit more practice on the music they’ll do very well. In second place is Blue Team. They did well,especially their young man who played the guitar,but the singer looked so unhappy that we thought maybe he didn ’ t  want to win!Never mind—you nearly won,so better luck next time. Congratulations to Green Team!They are our winners today. The singer had such a great voice that we had to give them first place. Well done!

                                     Thomas Edison 

      Thomas Edison was born in Ohio,in 1847. He had a serious fever as a young child and began to lose his hearing at that age. By the end of his life he was almost totally deaf. He did not think of this as a hdndicap. He said it gave him more time to think because he didn ’t have to listen to other people.

       He began working for the railroads at a very young age ? but was always thinking of ways to do things differently.
