Gallup，an American company，does a national survey in the US every year to see who is happy and what makes them happy．

The results of the latest survey came out on March 6．
It showed that Hawaii is the happiest state in the US．It also found that older people are happier than younger ones，and men are happier than women．

Alvin Wong，who lives in Hawaii，fit the model．That's why the 69-year-old Chinese-American became the happiest American．
