Young children don't have the skills or knowledge to stay safe in heavy traffic. The following tips(忠告)will be helpful for you to keep your children safe in heavy traffic. Children learn about road safety by watching others. As parents, make sure that you always set good examples. Your children will follow you and think it's OK to do like you. Teach your children to pay attention to traffic lights when you cross the road together with them. This helps them understand when it's safe to cross. Make sure that you walk between your children and the traffic, and hold their hands all the time.
When your children are a little older, you can start to tell them the importance of traffic knowledge. Let them start to understand the reasons why they need to be socareful. Talk with them about road signs and traffic rules.
Ask your children to play in a safe place. Never let them ride bikes on the road without an adult present at rush hour.
The most important thing you can do is to keep your children from getting hurt, so parents encourage them to follow traffic rules. After knowing about traffic rules, they'll volunteer to obey them. In this way, they'll be careful enough to keep themselves away from danger.

At the same time, the lines and the windows in the roof bring something modern to the museum.

Even in Pei's 80s when he was designing the Museum of Islamic Art in Doha, Qatar, he still kept learning new things. He spent months in the Middle East visiting special places. "A lasting building will always find the place where it comes from," Pei said. That may explain why he and his designs have stood the test of time.

【題目】 Every year more people recognize that it is wrong to kill wildlife for “sport”. Progress in this direction is slow because shooting is not a sport for watching, and only those few who take part realize the cruelty and destruction.

The number of gunners, however, grows rapidly. Children too young to develop proper judgments through independent thought are led a long way away by their gunning parents. They are subjected to advertisements of gun producers who describe shooting as good for their health and gun-carrying as a way of putting redder blood in the veins. They are persuaded by gunner magazines with stories honoring the chase and the kill. In school, they view motion pictures which are supposedly meant to teach them how to deal with arms safely but which are actually designed to stimulate(刺激)a desire to own a gun.

Wildlife is disappearing because of shooting and because of the loss of wild land habitat. Habitat loss will continue with our increasing population, but can we slow the loss of wildlife caused by shooting? They seem to forgive shooting for sport because they know little or nothing about it. The only answer, then, is to bring the truth about sport shooting to the great majority of people.

Now, it is time to realize that animals have the same night to life as we do and that there is nothing fair or right about a person with a gun shooting the harmless and beautiful creatures. The gunner like to describe what they do as character building, but we know that to wound an animal and watch it go through the agony of dying can make nobody happy. If, as they would have you believe, gun-carrying and killing improve human character, then perhaps we should encourage war.

1According to the text, most people do not seem to be against hunting because _______.

A.they have little knowledge of itB.it helps to build human character

C.it is too costly to stop killing wildlifeD.they want to keep wildlife under control

2The underlined word “agony” in the last paragraph probably means _______.

A.formB.conditionC.painD.sadness

3According to the text, the films children watch at school actually _______.

A.teach them how to deal with guns safelyB.praise hunting as character-building

C.describe hunting as an exerciseD.encourage them to have guns of their own

4It can be inferred from the text that the author seems to _______.

A.blame the majority of peopleB.worry about the existence of wildlife

C.be in favor of warD.be in support of character-building
