Also, language death affects our knowledge about nature. Local people often have a deep understanding of plants, animals, and the relationship between them. David Harrison, a researcher on endangered languages, reflects, “80% of plant and animal species(物種)have been undiscovered by science. But that doesn’t mean they're unknown to humans.”

A small cloud floats through the air in a hospital operating room. In the room a patient, suffering from cancer, lies on a table. For this reason, nanorobots will have to be programmed to build themselves. Scientists will not have the ability to build millions of nanorobots one by one.

This ability to reproduce is making some scientists worried. What if something goes wrong in the programming? Quite a lot of crazy nanorobots would be far worse than any disease. Some people think that if they get out of control, nanorobots could destroy the Earth.

What should be done? Should we continue researching nanorobots or should we search for other methods? This is one of the many difficult decisions that we have to make in the future.
