【題目】閱讀短文,下列問題
D
Scientists believe there are some things in the sky that we will never see. We won' t see them with the biggest telescope in the world on the clearest night of the year.
That's because they're invisible (看不見的). They're the dead stars called black holes.
You might find it hard to imagine that stars die. After all, our Sun is a star. Year after year, we see it up in the sky, burning brightly, giving us heat and light. The Sun certainly doesn't seem to be getting old or weak. But stars do burn out and die after billions of years.
As a star's gases bum, they give off light and heat. But when the gas runs out, the star stops burning and begins to die.
As the star cools, the outer part of the star is pulled in toward the center. The star turns into a smaller and smaller ball. If the star is very small, the star ends up as a cold, dark ball. If the star is very big, it keeps being pulled inward until it's packed together tighter than anything in the universe.
What pulls the star in toward its center with such power? It's the same force that pulls you down when you jump --- the force called gravity (重力). A black hole is so tightly packed that its gravity sucks (吸) in everything --- even light. The light from a black hole can never come back to your eyes. That's why you see nothing but blackness.
(1)What can we know from the third paragraph?
A.Stars can't die.
B.Stars can die.
C.The Sun is important.
D.The Sun is getting old.
(2)What do the stars use to give off light and heat?
A.Gases.
B.Sunlight.
C.Soil.
D.Gravity
(3)What happens to the star when it cools?
A.It breaks into small pieces and flies away.
B.It is so tight that it is like the Sun.
C.It shines more brightly than ever.
D.The outer part of the star is pulled in toward the center.
(4)What will you probably think when you look at the sky at night after you read the passage?
A.There is nothing in the blackness.
B.The stars shine brightly.
C.There are dead stars in the blackness.
D.The stars have no gravity.
(5)What's the best title for the passage?
A.The Sun.
B.Black holes.
C.Gravity.
D.Light.

【題目】 There are different ways in which people try to deal with the problem of energy. One way is the greater production of common energy sources, such as coal, oil and gas. The trouble with these sources, however, is that they are not renewable.
Another way is energy conservation(節(jié)能), which means using energy more efficiently(有效地). In some very cold countries people build special houses to save energy. They place materials between the inside and the outside of the walls of the house to keep the cold out and the warmth in. The house is heated by the lights, the body heat of the people and the other equipment in it.
Finally, renewable energy sources are used even though they are often expensive to develop. One form of these is geothermal energy. In certain parts of the world, the temperature of the earth increases 30℃ with each kilometer down. At six kilometers, therefore, it rises to nearly two hundred degrees. To get the heat, water is pumped down into the rocks and back up to the surface. Heat from the earth is already used in certain countries.
【1】From the passage we learn that oil______.
A.is quite easy to produceB.is not used most efficiently
C.is the most common energy sourceD.could be renewed only by new ways
【2】Why are the “special houses” mentioned in the passage?
A.To keep the cold out and the warmth in.
B.To show the excellent skills of the builders.
C.To be an example of energy conservation.
D.To be heated by different sources of energy.
【3】If the surface temperature is 15℃, how deep will you dig to get a temperature of 105℃?
A.One kilometer.B.Two kilometers.
C.Three kilometers.D.Four kilometers.
【4】Where does the heat of the earth come from?
A.The rocks inside the earth.B.The water pumped into the earth.
C.The temperature of the earth.D.The water on the surface of the earth.

【題目】 Emma Watson, 26, brings her childhood Disney character to life. The British actress played the beautiful girl Belle in Disney’s new live-action movie Beauty and the Beast(野獸). She also sang for the role, the first time she has done so in her career. The movie came out in China on March 17. Originally an animation(動(dòng)畫) film, it tells how a cursed(被詛咒的) man-beast is changed into a handsome prince by the love of Belle.
To play the lead role in Beauty and the Beast, Watson turned down the offer of La La Land, which won six awards including the Best Actress at this year’s Oscars. However, she does not regret it. She told Vanity Fair that she believes the movie says something that is important for people to hear.
This is not her first time being invited to play a Disney princess. She refused the offer to play Cinderella. But she happily took on Belle because she saw her as a better role model. Belle doesn’t mind Beast’s ugly appearance and sees his good heart within. “She remains curious, compassionate(有同情心) and open-minded,” she told Total Film. “She’s not easily swayed by other people’s ideas.”
But to build her own version of Belle, Watson had a hand in shaping the character. She wanted Belle to be busy instead of just playing in the castle all day. So she had the idea of turning Belle into an inventor, like her father. And Belle even made a washing machine herself, though people broke it. She wanted it to free girls from chores(雜物) and allow them to learn how to read. A.Because she refused to play Cinderella.
B.Because she saw Belle as a better role model.
C.Because she had no chance to play in La La land.
D.Because she thought the movie was important for people.
【3】What does the underlined word “swayed” in Paragraph 3 most probably mean?
A.Warned.B.Kept.C.Trained.D.Influenced.
【4】Why did people break Belle’s washing machine?
A.Because they thought the machine was useless.
B.Because they had an idea of turning her into an inventor.
C.Because they wanted to push her to be the woman they liked.
D.Because they wanted her to be busy instead of playing in the castle.
【5】Which may be the best title for this passage?
