Gates lives in a mansion(豪宅) which lies in Medina, Washington. It covers over 66,000 square feet and overlooks Lake Washington. In the house, there are 7 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms 6 fireplaces, 6 kitchens and a 1000-square-foot dining room. Nicknamed Xanadu(昵稱世外桃源) 2.0, it took seven years to build the house and it is worth about $148 million.

Gates’ background allowed him to design(設(shè)計(jì)) his house with all kinds of high-tech equipment(設(shè)備). Hidden cameras and floor sensors(傳感器) are everywhere.
