I'll send the photos about the robots taking there to my friends. Before we returned, and I went to the gift shop where I bought some gifts with my family. How a happy school trip I had!

1. where→which 2.get→got 3. they→we 4.exciting→excited 5.houseworks→housework 6.how后加to 7.taking→ taken 8.去掉 and 9. with→ for 10. How→What

分析句子結(jié)構(gòu),此處為定語(yǔ)從句,句子前面有逗號(hào),是非限制性定語(yǔ)從句,修飾先行詞a school trip,指物,在從句中做主語(yǔ),用which引導(dǎo)非限制性定語(yǔ)從句;where引導(dǎo)定語(yǔ)從句時(shí),先行詞需在從句中做狀語(yǔ)。故where改為which

故get改為got

根據(jù)上一句的語(yǔ)境we took a bus,句意應(yīng)為“我們馬上就到達(dá)那兒了”,故they改為we

此處為“疑問詞how+不定式作賓語(yǔ)”結(jié)構(gòu),故how后加to。

take和其邏輯主語(yǔ)之間the robots是被動(dòng)關(guān)系,用過去分詞做定語(yǔ);take是不規(guī)則變化動(dòng)詞,過去分詞是taken。故taking改為taken。

分析句子結(jié)構(gòu),before we returned是狀語(yǔ)從句,I went to the gift shop是主句,兩個(gè)句子之間不是并列關(guān)系,中間沒必要用連詞and。故去掉and。

短語(yǔ)buy sth. for sb. “為某人買某物”,此處為“為我的家人買禮物”,故with改為for。

10.考查感嘆句。在感嘆句中,how修飾形容詞或副詞,what修飾名詞;后面是名詞短語(yǔ)a happy school trip,應(yīng)用 “What+a+形容詞+名詞”結(jié)構(gòu),故How改為What

Asking for help is a sign of strength rather than weakness. In American culture, the independent individual is seen as their ideal. As the University of Missouri at St. Louis states on its website under the heading Key American Values, “Americans have been trained since very early in their lives to consider themselves as separate individuals who are responsible for their own situations in life and their own destinies.” The value also makes them think they can do everything themselves, and makes them feel bad about asking for help when they need it.

And when it comes to work situations, when they think about asking for help there, sometimes they fear that a request for help would make them look inept. While this has always been true for men, many women in the workplace have felt the need to try twice as hard as their male colleagues and do twice as much to get just as far and to prove their worth. Sometimes when we think about asking for help, our inner voices tell us, “See, if you admit you can’t do this on your own, they’ll see you for the imposter (騙子) you really are.”

But the fact is, even though individualism is on the rise, we can’t do everything by ourselves and we shouldn’t try.

Apple founder Steve Jobs once told the Santa Clara Valley Historical Association about the power of asking for help, and how he “never found anybody who didn’t want to help me when I asked them for help”. He said, at the age of 12, he called Bill Hewlett, co-founder of Hewlett-Packard, on the phone after getting his number from the phone book and asking him for spare parts so he could build a frequency counter(計(jì)頻器). And Hewlett agreed and offered young Jobs a summer job assembling frequency counters.

“If you’re afraid of failing, you won’t get very far,” Jobs said.

1What is the first paragraph mainly about?

3What can be learned from this US cultural phenomenon?

A.Americans suffer a lot from mutual distrust.

B.Americans see weakness as a sign of strength.

C.Americans should learn to build up confidence.

D.Americans think highly of individual values.

4What can we learn from Jobs’ words in the last paragraph?

A.Don’t hesitate to ask for help.B.Be brave to try whatever you want.

Researchers in the Netherlands report that children who get more exercise, whether at school or at other places, tend to have higher scores on standardized tests. In a review of 14 studies that looked at physical activity and academic performance investigators found that the more children moved? the better their grades were in school, particularly in the basic subjects of math, English and reading.

The data will certainly fuel the ongoing debate over whether physical education classes for senior three students should be reduced or even cancelled. The arguments against physical education have included concerns that gym time may be taking away study time. With standardized test scores in the US dropping in recent years, some administrators believe students need to spend more time in the classroom instead of on the playground. But as these findings show, exercise and academics may not be consequently exclusive. Physical activity can improve blood flow to the brain, memory, attention and creativity, which are essential to learning.
