After take the College Entrance Examination, I will have a long holiday for almost three months. I have been made a plan for it. Firstly, I will spend some time with my parent. Today, millions of people want learn or improve their English. Which is good, to study in Britain or in your own country?

The benefits of going to Britain seems obvious. You will listen to the language all the time, surround completely by the language wherever you would go and have to speak English if you are with the local people. In China, there is always possible to speak Chinese in class and the learning is slower. However, there are also advantage of studying at home. You don’t have to make big changes to your life. Beside, it’s much cheaper than going to Britain.

In my view, for most people without enough money, being al home is their only choice. A most important thing to do in this situation is make good use of your opportunities—speaking only English in class and using English whenever possibly outside the class.

I think university life are a time for learning and experiencing new things. I can meet other young people like me from many different place and make lots of friends. I will probably live away home during this time, and I will promote independence. Studying at university will be quite difference from studying at high school. I may not have so many homework to finish every day, and I will spend much more time do what I love. I know that at any university here are different associations or clubs organized by students. Yesterday, another student and I went to the Capital International Airport to meet this year international students. The first person to arrive was Tony Garcia from Colombia, close followed by Julia Smith from Britain. After I met them and then introduced them each other, I was very surprised. Tony approached Julia, touching her shoulder and kissed her on her cheek! She stepped back was appearing surprised and put up her hands, as if in defend, I guessed that there was probably a major misunderstanding. Then as Akira from Japan and George from Canada were introduced, George reached his hand out to the Japanese student. Just at that moment, however, Akira bowed but his nose touched George’s moved hand. They all apologized---another cultural mistake!
