【題目】 Some people never master the art of being patient, and at times, all of us struggle with being patient. Sometimes a certain situation or a certain person just pushes our buttons, making it much more difficult for us to remain patient.1It becomes harder to concentrate, and it becomes harder to be polite to other people.

2 No one is born to be patient. As you learn and grow and experience things in life, you become wiser and learn how to interact with difficult kinds of people.

3 This is normal, as you have never had the experience of working in an office before. At first, it might be difficult to understand your job. You might even lose patience, but over time you’ll be able to interact with other people with more confidence and patience. Someone at work disagrees with you, and it might make you become anxious.4You’ll be less likely to become bothered when presented with different situations. Though it might be difficult, you should try to be patient in life. This will help you in nearly all situations. 5Age doesn’t always mean that someone is wise, and wisdom doesn’t always mean that someone is patient, though the two often go hand in hand.

A. You must keep in mind that patience comes with experience and wisdom.

B. Once you lose patience, things tend to go wrong.

C. Learning to be patient takes time and it takes patience to learn to be patient.

D. Patience is acquired as you acquire wisdom, and wisdom is the child of experience.

E. However, with experience, you’ll learn how to present your opinions clearly.

F. The more patience you have, the better you’ll cope in various situations..

G. For example, you start your first job in a big office, and you don’t really know how to work with lots of people.

【題目】閱讀下面短文,根據(jù)所給情節(jié)進(jìn)行續(xù)寫,使之構(gòu)成一個完整的故事。

On July 8, 2017, eight members of a family in total, were enjoying an evening together at the beach in Panhandle, Florida. As the sun sank lower on the horizon, the two boys Noah, 11, and Stephen, 8 swam into the waves without the grown-ups noticing. Soon they realized that the ocean had pulled them into the sea. After trying and failing to swim back, they started waving and screaming for help. But the lifeguards had been off duty for the evening.

The boys had been struggling for several minutes when Jacky and Tabatha, a couple from Georgia, heard them. They dived into the water and soon reached the two brothers. But after a few minutes, they were all trapped in a rip current (離岸流) — a powerful one that could sweep even the strongest swimmer out to sea! By then, some teenagers had heard the cry. One of the teens rushed into the water, grabbed Jacky, and pulled him back to shore. Meanwhile, Tabatha could feel herself being pulled farther out. She was already exhausted and beginning to feel desperate as she was trying to save both boys alone.

Onshore, Jacky was terrified. A man stopped. 'What’s wrong?' asked Shaun, who was heading back to his car. 'My wife is drowning!' Brittany said. Shaun immediately strode (大步跨) into the water. But several minutes later, a gaping 15 feet still lay between him and Tabatha and the boys. He knew that if he continued, he'd become another victim. He turned around to seek help.

It was about that time that Roberta, the boys' mother, returned from the bathroom and looked around for her children. She was shocked to spot them floating much farther out than they were allowed to go. She fought the waves to get to her screaming sons and the stranger who was trying to save them, but she quickly discovered it was nearly impossible to make headway in any direction. Looking around, Roberta sighed with relief to see some more people coming to help.

I went to watch the ballet The Peony Pavilion last Sunday’s evening. Because I think ballet was more or less the same everywhere, I was total unprepared for its unique beauty. I was absorb as soon as the curtain rose up. The performance borrowed a lot from Chinese dance and music, but the Eastern influence on the ballet was clear. The production was filled in colours and romantic symbols, and challenged my sense in new ways. So much did I enjoy that it has changed my opinion about ballet. I can’t wait to going again!
