Last Tuesday, the Students’ Union in our school advised that Senior Three students shall do something specially for their parents on their 18th birthdays. All the students are active in responding it and most of them have come up with their ideas. Some choose to write a letter saying it’s best way to express their appreciations as well as love for their parents. After a day’s hard work I went to bed early than usual. It was about two o’clock in the morning when I was awakened by a big noise. I got out of the beds and slowly went upstairs. There was a light in the living room. I listened to carefully and heard two men speak quietly. I believed my house had broken into and I was really frightening. I went back upstairs and immediately call the police. You can imagine how embarrassed I was when they came upstairs but told me they had turned the television off for me and something was all right.

I’d like to say anything about the service in our school dining hall. In general, the service is satisfied. The hall is clean and tidy. And﹀ dishes look inviting and tastes good. What’s more, the workers there treat us as their friends, which makes us real happy. However, the cost of the meals was a little high. Also, we have only a limited variety of dish which are the same every day. In addition, we often have to stand with line for a long time after we get our food. This wastes a lot of time. I hope something can be done to solve about these problems soon.
