I still remember the morning.My father suddenly wake me up at about 5and the sky was still gray.I jumped out bed surprised and extreme happy,for we were going to get a book!When we drove to the bookstore,many people were already waiting here.We waited for our turn until about 8:30.I was overjoyed when I got a book,not only because of the book themselves,but also of the love from my father.Never before have I felt such a love from him,because of my father,I believed then,had always been busy with his ownwork.That was Harry Potter that helped I feel the deep love from my parents!

I still remember the morning. My father suddenly wake me up at about 5and the sky was still gray.I jumped out∧bed surprised and extreme happy, for we were going to get a book! When we drove to the bookstore, many people were already waiting here.We waited for our turn until about 8:30.I was overjoyed when I got a book, not only because of the book themselves, but also of the love from my father.Never before have I felt such a love from him, because of my father,I believed then, had always been busy with his ownwork. That was Harry Potter that helped I feel the deep love from my parents!
2.out 后面加 of;考查介詞,jump out of bed意為"從床上跳起來",名詞bed做介詞of的賓語.
5.a(chǎn) 改為the;考查冠詞,這里的book指代上文提到的a book,此處第二次提到,故用the表示特指.
7.have改為had;考查動(dòng)詞的時(shí)態(tài),本文講述過去發(fā)生的事情,此處又有介詞before,說明動(dòng)作發(fā)生在過去的過去,要用過去完成時(shí),故把have改為had.
8.去掉 of;考查原因狀語,because of后面跟名詞或名詞性短語,because引導(dǎo)原因狀語從句,這里引導(dǎo)從句my father had always been…,故去掉of,用because.
9.That改為It;考查強(qiáng)調(diào)句,這是it is/was+被強(qiáng)調(diào)部分+that從句的強(qiáng)調(diào)句型,故用it.
10.I 改為me;考查人稱代詞,此處用賓格形式me作動(dòng)詞helped的賓語.

14.Science has a lot of uses.It can uncover laws of nature, cure diseases, make bombs, and help bridges to stand up.Indeed science is so good at what it does that there's always a temptation (誘惑) to drag it into problems where it may not be helpful.David Brooks, author of The Social Animal:The Hidden Sources of Love,Character, and Achievement, appears to be the latest in a long line of writers who have failed to resist the temptation.
Brooks gained fame for several books. His latest book The Social Animal, however,is more ambitious and serious than his earlier books. It is an attempt to deal with a set of weighty topics. The book focuses on big questions:What has science revealed about human nature? What are the sources of character? And why are some people happy and successful while others aren't?
To answer these questions,Brooks surveys a wide range of disciplines.Considering this, you might expect the book to be a dry recitation (背誦)of facts. But Brooks has structured his book in an unorthodox (非常規(guī)的),and perhaps unfortunate way.Instead of introducing scientific theories,he tells a story, within which he tries to make his points, perhaps in order to keep the reader's attention. So as Harold and Erica, the hero and heroine in his story, live through childhood,we hear about the science of child development and as they begin to date we hear about the theory of sexual attraction.Brooks carries this through to the death of one of his characters.
On the whole,Brooks'story is acceptable if uninspired. As one would expect, his writing is mostly clear and,to be fair, some chapters stand out above the rest.I enjoyed, for instance, the chapter in which Harold discovers how to think on his own. While Harold and Erica are certainly not strong or memorable characters, the more serious problems with The Social Animal lie elsewhere. These problems partly involve Brooks'attempt to translate his tale into science.

56.What is the main idea of Paragraph 2?(No more than 10 words)The purpose of writing The Social Animal./The main topics of the book.
57.Why does Brooks use a story to introduce scientific theories?(No more than 15 words)Because he tries to make his points through the story or keep reader's attention.
58.According to The Social Animal, how can we learn about the science of child development?(No more than 10 words)As Harold and Erica live through their childhood.
59.Please explain the underlined word"weighty"in English.(No more than 1 word)Serious.Or:Important.Or:Significant.Or:Great.Or:Big.Or:Crucial.Or:Heavy….
60.Do you like Brooks'way of dealing with science in The Social Animal? Why?(No more than 20 words)Yes,I do.Because he introduces scientific theories through a story, which is much easier for people to understand..
