The benefits of keeping a journal (日志)
If you want to grow, one important thing you should do is keeping a journal. It may seem simple, but it can make a big difference in your life. I have been keeping journals for years. Writing all the lessons I learn and all the ideas I get has become a habit for me.    小題1:   Here are some benefits you will get by keeping a journal.
◆ It prevents you from losing an idea. Have you ever gotten an idea only to lose it later because you didn’t write it down?   小題2:   But then I developed the habit of writing down every idea that came into my mind as soon as possible. If I’m away from my computer, I usually write it down on a piece of paper that I bring wherever I go. I will then transfer the idea to the journal in my computer.
◆ It helps you review all the lessons you’ve learned. By reviewing your journal, you can quickly see the lessons you’ve learned and the ideas you’ve gotten.    小題3:   You can use the ideas to propel (鞭策) yourself forward.
小題4:   After keeping a journal for years, you can look back at it and see how far you’ve gone. Things that were big problems in the past might seem small today. The raw ideas you had in the past might have been realized today.
◆ It helps you expand your ideas. When you try to come up with a sentence to express an idea, you are thinking actively about it.    小題5:   In the end, you will expand your ideas.
A.I often experienced that myself.
B.It trains you to express your thoughts.
C.It allows you to see your progress over time.
D.Just use whatever tool you feel comfortable with.
E. Thinking actively helps you connect your idea to another idea.
F. And to be honest, I can’t imagine what my life would be like without it.
G. Then you can do whatever necessary to avoid repeating the same mistakes.

小題3:G 根據(jù)本段第一句It helps you review all the lessons you’ve learned.
After keeping a journal for years, you can look back at it and see how far you’ve gone.可知寫(xiě)日記可以讓我們回顧過(guò)去,展望未來(lái),故C項(xiàng)內(nèi)容正確。
小題5:E 根據(jù)本段第一句It helps you expand your ideas.可知寫(xiě)日記可以幫助我們拓寬視野,從舊的思想拓展到新的思想。故E項(xiàng)正確。

When we learn English, we always find we have difficulties in remembering the names of the months. Therefore, if we know something about the history of the months, possible it won’t be very hard for us to remember them. The followed is one example. January was named by God Janus. He was a strange god because he has two faces. He could look in the two directions. He could look forward or backward at the same time. He was the god of endings and beginnings. January is the month that one looks forward to the New Year and thinks about the past year.
Now can you share us the stories about the rest of the months?

Recently, the relationship(關(guān)系) between the two countries got worse because of the Diaoyu Islands.
The Japanese government signed a contract(合同) on Sep 11 with the Kurihara family. It was to pay the so-called “private(私人的) owner” 2.05 billion yen (166 million yuan) to “buy” part of China’s Diaoyu Islands.
Anti-Japan(反日) feelings grew strongly among Chinese people. Many people walked into the streets and shouted out “Diaoyu Islands are China’s.”  Some have decided not to buy Japanese products any more. “I am boycotting(抵制) Japanese goods as a show of support. I’ll work hard to make the country much stronger,” Liu Xiushan, 33, a lawyer in Beijing said to China Daily.
However, some didn’t show their anger in the right way. They broke cars and stores of Japanese brands. Some used rude words. These actions are bad for our position and image(形象). Some actions were against law.
Li Jingjun, a 17-year-old high school student in Guangzhou, was shocked by what he learned from TV and the Internet. He joined protests(抗議) in his city on September 15. But he acted differently. He called for rational (理智的) actions.
We have every right(權(quán)利) to say the Diaoyu Islands belongs to us, but we should watch our behaviour(行為). Bad manners can harm our dignity(尊嚴(yán)) and sense of justice(正義感),” said Li Jingjun.
