【題目】Too many people want others to be their friends, but they don’t give friendship back. That is why some friendships don’t last long.To have a friend, you must learn to be one.You must learn to treat your friend the way you want your friend to treat you.Learning to be a good friend means learning three rules:be honest;be generous;be understanding.
Honesty is where a good friendship starts.Friends must be able to trust one another. If you do not tell the truth, people usually will find out.If a friend finds out that you haven’t been honest, you may lose the friend’s trust.Good friends always count on one another to speak and act honestly.
Generosity means sharing and sharing makes a friendship grow. You do not have to give your lunch money or your clothes.Naturally you will want to share your ideas and feelings. These can be very valuable to a friend. They tell your friend what is important to you.By sharing them, you help your friend know you better.
Sooner or later everyone needs understanding and helping with a problem.Something may go wrong at school.Talking about the problem can make it easier to solve.Turning to a friend can be the first step in solving the problem. So to be a friend you must listen and understand. You must try to put yourself in your friend’s place so you can understand the problem better.
No two friendships are ever exactly alike. But all true friendships have three things in common. If you plan to keep your friends, you must practice honesty, generosity and understanding.

【題目】Lacrosse, invented by the Native Americans, is a popular team sport in North America and a national summer sport for Canada. It involves the use of nets, or “heads” as they are called, which consist of a wooden or metal stick with a net on the end. Hockey is a game based on this sport.
The name “l(fā)acrosse” was named by the French settlers ,with “Crosse” meaning curved stick. Lacrosse played a more serious role in Indian culture than anywhere else. Lacrosse was not a very well-known sport until the late nineteenth century. It was mostly a boy’s game until a few years ago, and now it is played by both boys and girls.
There were about three different forms of lacrosse based on the different tribes or places of how they played it. One of the ways still played today is called double stick; you play by using a two-and-a-half-foot stick in each hand and tossing a deer skin ball in between the two sticks.
Like many other ball games ,there are two teams in Lacrosse ,each with ten players. There is one goalie, three defensemen, three midfielders and three attackmen. The goalies defend the goals, and if the ball goes into the goal, the team who got the goal scores. Whoever scores the most goals by the end of the game wins, with an overtime period being played if the game is tied. The game has four quarters and starts with a "faceoff “at the beginning of each quarter. A faceoff is when the ball is on the ground to start the game ,and one person from each team fights for the bail.

【題目】As a school teacher, Inderjit Khurana used to take the train to work. And one day, at the station, she saw dozens of children who spent their days begging from train passengers rather than going to school. She learned that it was not a rare problem and that millions of children in India lived on the streets.
Realizing that these children would never be able to escape poor life and homelessness without education, and that it would be impossible to send these children to school, Inderjit decided to create a model program---taking the school to the most out- of-school children.
Khurana’s train platform schools aim to provide a creative school form and give children the basic levels of education. Her last goals reach far beyond the 20 platform schools she and her colleagues have created in India’s Bhubaneswar region. She is determined that her program will become a model for changing the lives of the poorest children throughout India and the world.
Khurana founded the Ruchika Social Service Organization(RSSO) in 1985. The teachers gather the children together between the stops of the train for reading, writing, maths and history taught through songs and other teaching tools.
Khurana recently comes to realize that the education of these children is impossible when the most basic needs of their families are not being met. So she also provides food and medicine for their families.
Khurana insists that every child have the right to an education and that if a child cannot come to the school, then the school must come to him or her.

A. It has a history of more than 30 years.
