I’m very exciting to learn that we will start a magazine together. That sounds great, and I definitely agree you on that.
Some of the columns what you mentioned in the letter are really my cup of tea. “Cultural Express” gives us a better understanding of the world. Since the people from different parts of the world have different values, it’s necessary to learn from each others. This will offer a wonderful chance. Apart from that, “Blurt Out” is pretty good for Chinese student to learn English idioms and improving oral English. Last but not least, “Entertainment” is so cool! The popular singers, actors or celebrities are so attractively that you absolutely can’t miss this part. Teenagers were just fond of popular things.

Last weekend I went to the Summer Palace as usually. At about noon, I was enjoying my reading near a lake while suddenly I hear someone crying for help. I went up to see what was happening. I was shocking to find a little child struggling in the water in the distance while many people standing by without doing anything. Without any hesitation, I had pushed through the crowd and I took off my coat, but jumped into the water quickly. I managed to reach him and carried him back to safety. To his great relief, the kid was saved.
I was proud what I had done. I wish everyone can give hand when someone else is in need.

In order to realize his dream, Bill Gates, richest man in the world, gave in studying in Harvard University, that is the most famous in the world. He set up a company and researching the computer software. An old saying go: “Interest is the best teacher.” I quite agree with this idea. I began to be crazy about English when I was a little girl. I got particular interested in foreign cultures or customs. To meet us curiosity, I read English stories every day. It seemed to be the best “meal” of a day. As for a result, I always did very well in English exam. Interest is the key to success.

This morning, our school holds a fire drill(演練). We were listening the teacher attentively in the math class after we heard the fire alarm from the speaker on the wall. The teacher stopped teach immediately and organized us to exit the classroom quickly. When we got into the passageway, we found us surrounded by smoke. It was chocking but our tears ran down. We students bent down, covered our mouth with handkerchiefs, and running downstairs rapidly into the open on the playground, just as we had been taught ago.
