①這幾年，喜鵲明顯減少了，有人擔(dān)憂再過些年孩子們可能連喜鵲也不認(rèn)得了。

②1993年春，筆者采用路線調(diào)查法，從寧夏的彭陽到銀川 400千米，在大約400平方千米的范圍內(nèi)只發(fā)現(xiàn) 50個(gè)喜鵲巢，至于喜鵲則更少見了，與 20世紀(jì) 70年代相比大約減少了 95％。

③原來群體數(shù)量很大的喜鵲為何急劇減少了呢？其一，因?yàn)橄铲o的棲息環(huán)境遭受破壞，可供營巢的大樹太少了，致使 90％的鵲巢只得筑在七八年生的小樹上；有的鵲巢距地面僅三四米高，極易遭受人為的毀壞及自然災(zāi)害；其二，近幾年滅鼠給鳥類帶來嚴(yán)重的災(zāi)難，許多農(nóng)村用玉米、小麥拌制的毒餌撒于田間，雖然毒死了大批老鼠但也殺死了大量的鳥類。筆者還曾在一片楊樹林里親眼目睹到一只中毒的老鼠被一只貓頭鷹捕食后，同歸于盡的慘景。

④喜鵲又叫花喜鵲，喜棲息于高大的樹上，經(jīng)常在田野和村莊附近覓食，多成群或成對活動(dòng)，5－10月間，主要取食蝗蟲、象甲、螻蛄、天社蛾幼蟲、蠅蛆、蟬等多種害蟲。喜鵲的減少，必將導(dǎo)致蟲害及鼠害的大量發(fā)生與蔓延。所以，它應(yīng)該受到保護(hù)。

⑤某地方志曾記載了"喜鵲告狀"的故事：康熙五十八年春，郡人偶感疫癥，忽傳說吃喜鵲可治，群眾爭捕喜鵲，城里城外把喜鵲網(wǎng)羅殆盡。一日，群鵲到公堂鳴叫不已，并引官至集市，見市買鵲者甚多，才知道是有些人為捕鵲得利，妄說喜鵲能治病。而后，官府對捕鵲者嚴(yán)懲，捕鵲之風(fēng)才剎住。

⑥為了不使喜鵲再告狀，今天我們應(yīng)該廣泛地開展群眾性的愛鳥護(hù)鳥活動(dòng)，特別是注意向青少年進(jìn)行愛鳥護(hù)鳥的教育，使廣大群眾認(rèn)識(shí)到保護(hù)鳥類就是保護(hù)人類自己，形成一個(gè)人人愛鳥護(hù)鳥的良好社會(huì)風(fēng)氣。同時(shí)要加強(qiáng)自然景觀的保護(hù)，要特別注意保護(hù)培植大樹及茂密的高桿樹，為鳥類提供更多的棲息之所，讓千姿百態(tài)的鳥類得以繁衍下去，維護(hù)生態(tài)系統(tǒng)的良性循環(huán)。
