A new report says African governments are ill prepared to handle the growing number of people over age 65. The population in Africa as in other parts of the world, is getting older. Currently, there are 36 million people on the continent 65 years and above. which is 3.6 percent of the population. up from 3.3 percent 10 years ago. That could rise to 4.5 percent by 2030 and 10 percent by 2050. The African development Bank is raising concerns over the shortage of health insurance and pensions (養(yǎng)老金).
The African Development Bank says. "Aging is highly linked with long-term physical and mental disability and a number of long-term chronic (慢性的) conditions."
"Africa is not well prepared to care for its aging population right now. And it needs to prepare for this fact." said Professor Mthuli Ncube. the African Development Bank's chief economist. Not so many countries have well developed medical aid plans for the elderly, whether they are privately provided plans or indeed government plans. If you look at the pension plans, you will find the pension industries are not well developed in some of the countries.
Professor Mthuli Ncube said African governments failed to take action on health insurance and pensions because they were busy with economic reforms.
Another challenge for Africa is the worsening of informal systems of social protection. That is cash and support from both the extended family and community sources.
The African Development Bank recommends governments help carry out health insurance and pension plans. Ncube said African governments didn't have to handle the health insurance burden alone. "It is not only a must but also an opportunity for private companies to add their bit in this regard", he said. The report also recommends that African governments consider providing ways of free health services. medications and long-term health care facilities for the elderly.

【題目】 Military training is not just a Chinese tradition. Students in other countries also have it. Let's take a look!
China| Military training in China usually teaches students things like standing at attention (站軍姿), goose-stepping (正步走) and folding a quilt (疊被子). Some students say that it is not useful. But others feel it encourages them to be more independent (獨(dú)立的) and responsible (有責(zé)任感的).
The US | US schools don't force (強(qiáng)迫) students to take military training. If children are interested in the military, they can attend military camps. These activities help children work in a team and encourage them to work out problems on their own. For example, a group might have the task of climbing over (翻越) a high wall. If even one person cannot climb over the wall, the whole group needs to do it again. So everyone must help each other and finish the task together.
The UK| The UK pays attention to military training for students, especially college students. There are Officer Training Corps (軍官訓(xùn)練員,OTC) in some universities. In the OTC, students can learn military skills like first aid (急救), weapons (武器) training and radio communications (無(wú)線電通訊). Students can make money by taking part in military exercises. They can earn up to 60 per day.

Eyes are important in our everyday life. We use them to read books, see colors and view the wonders of the world. But sometimes, we use them too much and it hurts them.
In the past , nearsightedness(近視)was a common eye problem among children . This is mostly because of their bad eye habits, such as watching TV too long and reading books in bed .
However , today's technology is changing the way we live . Children spend more time working and playing in front of computers , smart phones and iPads . US children spend more than 42 hours a week in front of electronic screens(電子屏幕), US'ABC news reported .

⒊ Remember to take a 20-20-20 break : every 20 minutes , take a 20second break and look at something 20 feet ( about 6 meters ) away .
