Smog is a big problem in many Chinese cities. Cliai Jing,a former news hostess with CCTV,discussed it in her documentary Under the Dome (《彎頂之F》) .
The 103-minute film was published on websites on Feb 28 ,2015.In the iilm,Chai visits polluted places and talks to officials and scientists. She concludes that burning too much coal and oil is the main cause of PM2. 5 and smog.
To make things worse, according lo Chai, the coal and oil we are burning is of poor quality and don't meet the standards of environmental protection. Therefore they have produced more harmful gas and particles (顆粒) to pollute the air.
To solve the problem,Chai suggests that factories should clean our coal and oil,or replace them with cleaner energy.
In her film,Chai also thought that ordinary people can do something to help control smog too.For example,we can live a greener life by using more public transportation.Or if we see something that could harm the environment,we can try to stop it.
What can we do to help beat the smog?

Whenever we meet with difficulty or failure, teachers, parents or others often say to us or perhaps we say to ourselves,u Never give up! These words can encourage others or oneself.A person who believes in himself will keep trying to reach his goal no matter how many times he fails. In my opinion, the quality of determination ( 決心) to succeed is an important one to have. Therefore,I believe that we should never give up.
One reason is that if we give up too easily, maybe we won’t achieve anything.lt is usual for us to fail in our first try at something new,so we should not feel too sad and should try again.Besides ( 此外) ,if we always give up when we fail,we can't develop new skills and grow.
Another reason why we should never give up is that we can learn from our mistakes so that we cannot make ihe same ones. If we do not try again, the lesson that we learned is wasted.
Finally,we should never give up because when we work lu reach our goals,we develop confidence, and this confidence can help us improve our lives. If we never challenge ourselves,we will begin to doubt our abilities.
In short,it is important that we do not give up when working for our goals.Whether we succeed in the end or not,we will learn something, and what we learn will help us to become better and more confident. Further more,if we give up,we have no chance to achieve our goals any more, but if we keep making great efforts, there is always a chance that we will succeed in the future.

Step 2: Another thing that affects your sleep is the position you sleep in. We all have our preferences, but for a perfect nighfs sleep you should try to keep your body in a proper position, where both your head and neck are kept straight. All you need is a comfortable bed and some well placed pillows.
Step 3:Your bedroom should be a place for sleeping only.lt is not a good idea to use your bed for doing work, making phone calls etc.Help your body recognize that this is a place for rest by throwing away anything related to work before you go to bed. Keep your bedroom dark while you are sleeping. As soon as ifs time to wake up,open the curtains or turn a light on. Lights help your body know ifs time to wake up.
Step 4: Have a bedtime routine (常規(guī)) .Having a bath before bed will help your brain relax and prepare you for sleep. Reading a book or listening to the same piece of music every night may help too. Write down your worries and possible solutions before you go to bed, then stop thinking about them.

(1) I was only an 11-year-old girl when my parents told me that we would soon move to America. We were on the bus then.Iwascry-ing,and some people on the bus were turning around to look at me.I remember that. I could not bear (忍受) the thought of never hearing the radio program for school children again which I listened to every morning.
In fact,1 think I cried very little when I was saying goodbye to my friends and relatives. When we were leaving,I even felt a little excited because I thought about all the places I was going to see—the strange and magical places T had known only from books and pictures.
The first four years in America taught me the importance of optimism ,but the idea did not come to me at once. For the first two years in New York I was really lost—having to study in three schools and 1(2) most of my time ( 2 ) learning the English language.I hardly had any time for fun. I had to do many things for the family since I knew English better than everyone else at home.I wrote letters, filled out forms, translated (SI ) all kinds of information and took my grandparents to the doctor and translated there.
Luckily, things got better and better later and almost all common troubles went away at last. From those experiences I have learned one important rule : Something good is certain to happen in the end when you do not give up,and just wait a little while!
