A large crowd of frogs were traveling through the forest but unluckily two of them fell into a deep pit. All the others 36  the pit .Seeing how  37  the pit was, they told the two frogs that they might be  38 dead .The two frogs  39  what the other frogs were saying and  40  to jump up out of the pit with all of their physical 41. The other frogs kept telling them to stop. In the end one of the frogs  42 trying , fell down and died. 43 , the second frog kept jumping as hard as she could despite the  44   remarks. Finally, with one giant leap, she 45  it out of the pit!
This amazing 46  was that the second frog was 47  and unable to hear what the others had been saying. She thought they had been 48  her on the whole time they were yelling!
The story above 49 us two lessons: Firstly ,there is 50  of life and death in the tongue. An encouraging word to someone who is 51  can lift them up and help them make it through the day. Secondly, a negative word to someone who is down can be  52  it takes to kill them. The power of words is great. Facing others’ criticism or laughter, we should turn a deaf 53  to it and have a  positive attitude. Thus we can reach our goals just as the second frog did .In one word, we need the  54  to guide us to the proper way , so as not to be blindly 55 by worldly opinion in difficult times.

A 只要,和。。。
The other frogs kept telling them to stop.
manage to do 強(qiáng)調(diào)成功做到了;而try to do 是努力去做,不一定成功。
A. The other frogs kept telling them to stop.
A. 從and unable to hear what the others had been saying可判斷這只青蛙是耳聾的,所以正確選項(xiàng)為A。
A給予;B.
The power of words is great.
A. 從故事內(nèi)容可知青蛙是處于困境中所以情緒應(yīng)該是消沉的,而且下文a negative word to someone who is down也提示給我們正確選項(xiàng)應(yīng)該是A。
A. 從句子結(jié)構(gòu)判斷此處是個(gè)表語(yǔ)從句,從句中缺少take的賓語(yǔ),句型為it take sth to do 。that在表語(yǔ)從句中不做成分;who表示人;which強(qiáng)調(diào)要有選擇范圍,所以正確選項(xiàng)為C。
A. turn a deaf ear to 意思是“對(duì)。。。
A. 從上句we need …to guide us to the proper way判斷此處應(yīng)該是不要盲目地受世人觀念的引導(dǎo),所以D選項(xiàng)正確。

It was 20 years ago. I was driving home with my 4-year-old son. Traffic was light. I was singing quietly along   36  the song playing on the radio. I   37   at the intersection(交叉路口) and looked both ways. The road was   38 . I slowly started to make a right turn when suddenly a car rounded the curve at high speed and came straight at me. I stomped (猛踩) on the brakes of my car  39 the engine in the process. The speeder zoomed (疾馳) past my dead car  40  me by inches without even slowing down.
41  I knew it, a stream of rude words was flying from my lips,   42  after the car and its driver. I then saw my son who was staring up at me   43 . With a red face and a(an)   44  smile I started the car, pulled back onto the road, and headed home.
Later that evening I was reading a book when I heard certain  45 words coming from my son’s bedroom. He was replaying the   46  over and over in his mind. Too   47  I realized the   48  of those words that had   49  from my lips in that moment of anger. It took a lot of talks about good language and bad language with my son to undo (消除)the   50  of that incident.
That  51  , however, did teach me just how strong words  52  be. It helped me to decide to stop swearing (咒罵) in my own life and to start using words uplifting and   53   instead. I slowly realized that language is a gift from God and should be used to make our world better but not worse. I learned   54  that a few loving words can help a hurting heart, strengthen a   55  spirit, and lighten a heavy load. I pray then that all of your words today are full of love, joy, happiness, and light.

I’ve often puzzled over something that happened to me one winter when I was eight. Over the years I had been wondering if my   31  was nothing more than a kid’s imagination.

Mom had one rule: “Never ice-skate alone.” But I couldn’t   36  any longer that afternoon. So I   37  my skates under my coat and ran to the pond. Several people were skating near the shore, and some kids were playing hockey. I was not really  38 .
The hockey game had attracted   39  audience, so I skated in the other direction until their cheering   40 . But another noise came soon. The ice was cracking beneath me. Freezing water   41  my body, and I sank like a rock.  My feet   42  the bottom. Just when I thought I wouldn’t last another   43 , I felt a tap on my shoulder. “Don’t worry,” someone said. I swung my   44  around. I couldn’t see anybody. But I heard the voice again,“Push your feet into the bottom and you’ll shoot straight up to the surface.” I did as I was told and   45 . I crawled to the shore and lay down,   46 . The next thing I knew was people were   47  around me, covering me with coats.
When I awoke, I was home in my own bed. Mom sat next to me,   48  my hand. “I saw nobody there. It must be an angel that came to my  49 .” I said. Mom smiled, “I just thank God you’re safe.”
For a long time I thought I would   50   a more realistic explanation if I just thought hard, but I never did.

Perhaps the only test score that I remember is the 41. I was in high school. The test was the final for the class. It was a rather  36 test. I didn’t know how  37 I had done but I knew there were things on   38  that I didn’t know.
I remember   39   waiting for the result. When Mr. Bales  40 my paper on my desk, I was   41   . There in big  42  numbers, circled to draw attention, was my grade — 41! I  43 my paper so that others couldn’t see it. A 41 was not   44  that you wanted your classmates to see. Finally, Mr. Bales stood behind the desk and   45  the class. “The grades were not very good;   46 of you passed,” he announced. “ The highest grade in the class was a 41, so all of you failed.”
A 41. That was me. Suddenly my dismal(陰沉的) face didn’t look quite so bad. I had the highest grade. I felt a lot   47  . As soon as I got home, my mother asked me, “How did you do on your test?” “I made a 41,” I said. My mother’s    48  changed suddenly. “You failed.” “But I had the highest grade in the class!” I replied. “ I don’t    49  what everyone else had. You failed. It doesn’t matter if everyone else failed too; what matters is what you do,” my mother  50  answered.
For years, I thought that was a harsh judgment. My mother was always that 51 . It didn’t matter what the other kids did; it only mattered what I did and  52 I did it excellently.
We often don’t understand the wisdom of good parents until we ourselves stand   53 the parenting shoes. My mother’s philosophy(人生態(tài)度)has   54   me throughout life. The path of the crowd is wide but the path to pass the tests of life is   55  and there are very few people on it.
