Some students believe that whether they have much money or large possessions, they will be happy. They believe that they will be able to do anything they wanted to do if they have money. Some students think that they should be good health, and enjoy whatever they like. Many students wish to have much wealth from their parents. In this way, they don’t have to work hardly and they can own everything. I don’t quite agree on the above points. I don’t think money means happy. We cannot buy much things with money, such as health, happiness and knowledge. I value knowledge, it makes me happy, for I can do a lot of for mankind with knowledge. Although different people value happiness differently, me wealth of happiness is in my study.

One afternoon on April, 1912, a new ship set off from England to America on it first trip. It was one of the largest and best ship at that time. There are several ways improve our English writing skills, such as keeping a diary, learning any good writings by heart, doing a lot of reading, etc. As for me, I prefer keeping a diary. Comparing with other forms of writing, keeping a diary is easy and take less time. In addition, they can help us form the habit of thinking in English. If we can keep this practice, and we will gradually learn how to express us in English. What’s more, keeping a diary can be as talking with one of our close friend, sharing our happiness or sadness. In the word, keeping a diary is a good way of improving our written English.

The main purpose of newspapers are to provide news. If you examine newspapers closely, you would find there are all sort of news: accidents, floods, fires, wars, sports, books, etc. The news cover everything that happens to people and its surroundings. Sometimes there is some news which is very interested. A news report is usual short, except when it is very important, but has a plenty of information. It is also written in shorter paragraphs. The first paragraph is in fact a summary of news. It gives all the necessary information, what, when, where, how, and why.
