What Awuah wanted was to create a university in his native Ghana.a(chǎn) state-of-the-art education centre that would help educate the country's next generation of leaders.Awuah moved with his family,back to Ghana.There,he invested his own money and with the help of other donors he founded Ashesi University.

In our last freshman class,50% of the students paid full tuition(學(xué)費),25%were on full
scholarships and 25%on partial scholarships,"he said."The reason why variety is so important is that the most important conversation on campus is a conversation about the good society-what is the good society we would like to see in Africa?That conversation is a lot more interesting if you have variety in the classroom,"adds Awuah..

解答 21C 推理題:根據(jù)文章第五段"‘So when I look at universities I see Africa fast-forward 30 years. When this 20-year-old is now in his or her 50s,that person is going to be a leader.'"
Patrick Awuah would wake up once in a while wondering if he'd done the right thing.
23 A 細節(jié)題:根據(jù)文章第六段中"which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year,"今年是學(xué)校十周年慶典. 故選A.
24 B 細節(jié)題:根據(jù)第六段中"offers degrees in business, information systems and computer science."提供商學(xué)、信息系統(tǒng)和計算機科技三個學(xué)位,因此A錯誤;根據(jù)第一段中"where he'd made millions working as a program manager"在那他是一個年薪百萬的項目經(jīng)理.故選B正確;在最后一段中"25%were on full scholarships"百分之二十五的學(xué)生享受全額獎學(xué)金,因此C錯誤;根據(jù)第二段最后一句"he invested his own money and with the help of other donors he founded Ashesi University."

Start with small actions. If you're uncomfortable with long conversations with people, start by just saying"hi"and asking what the person is doing.Even if you do more listening than talking in the beginning, people will usually still like you. When it comes to conversations,remember"F.O.R.".It stands for family, occupation(職業(yè)) and recreation(休閑).You are most likely to be asked about these three topics when you meet someone new. Most people feel comfortable talking about the three topics. The great thing is that you also can communicate with someone new in these three areas.
Honesty is the best policy. In friendship,"honesty"is thefundamentalquality that one must have. One should always be honest with his or her friends.Don't laugh at people's fault.Praise them honestly and openly.Say you are sorry if you hurt your friend.
Give more than you take.Be there when they need you, encourage them; we all need encouragement now and then.Encourage their dreams.Life seems meaningless without them.Wish your friends good luck.Examine your purpose before you"help out".Love and never forget them.
